BSS Modernization QA



Our esteemed client migrated from an Huawei BSS solution to one supplied by ZTE. The launch was RFS (Ready for Service) first followed by a Big Bang migration. Saksham's QA and Audit involved ensuring that the new system worked as promised by vendor as set out in the RFI details and as per business requirements. Customer Experience, User Experience and no loss of data and information were key objectives set out for QA.





QA included- Ensuring all products / services/ rates/ benefits were set up in the new platform accurately and worked without errors. Assuring client that all customer and business user touchpoints were working with expected capabilities and acceptable level of anomaly.


Audit covered- Multiple mock runs for migration of data with high level of accuracy.


As with any large-scale migration, the risks were making sure that nothing was missed out (customer/ subscription data, products etc.) and that business as usual was achieved post migration. This risk was mitigated by planning and executing in detail the multiple test cycles that would cover the bulk of the critical products and services to test as well as a process to validate the Dry (Mock) Runs of migration.
